WHAT IS AN ECONOMIC EXPERIMENT?
An economic experiment is a research method used to study the behavior of individuals in a controlled environment. It enables us to understand how people make decisions when faced with specific economic situations, such as purchasing goods, managing risk, and more. At the end of each experiment, each participant receives a compensation that depends on the experiment and the participant’s decisions.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN AN ECONOMIC EXPERIMENT?
- No special knowledge is required to take part in the experiments.
- Registration is open to all (students, employees, job seekers, etc.) without restriction.
- Please note: Only one registration per person is allowed!
HOW WILL THE EXPERIMENT WORK?

Register via our online form by clicking on the link at the end of the page. This will register you as a volunteer to take part in the LEEA experiments.
- Selection of participants
When an experiment is scheduled, the ALET selects a diverse group of participants from its database to ensure scientifically representative results.
- Session of test
You will be invited to take part in a face-to-face session in an experimental room. The experiment will take place as follows:
- Switch off your cell phone, so as not to interfere with the experiment.
- Sit down in front of one of the switched-on computers.
- Silently read the experiment instructions. They are located next to the computer keyboard. These instructions explain the nature of the decisions that will have to be made, and the nature of the interactions (if any) between the participants in the experiment. They also specify the compensation rules for the experiment.
4. Compensation
At the end of each experiment, you will receive financial compensation based on your decisions during the experiment.
- Experience is compensated in the following ways
- Payments are made according to the rules defined in the experiment instructions. and will include a fixed part and a
- Each experience has its own remuneration rules. No information on the remuneration of the experience is provided before the experience takes place.
However, based on past experience, the average individual compensation is between 10,000 and 20,000 F CFA.
