The Réseau des Ecoles de Statistique Africaines (RESA) composed of the Institut Sous-régional de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (ISSEA), Yaoundé-Cameroon, the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Analyse Economique (ENSAE), Dakar-Senegal and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (ENSEA), Abidjan-Côte d’Ivoire have signed a cooperation agreement since September 27, 2016, in order to develop and organize certain joint activities.
RESA’s activities cover the following areas in particular:
- Coordination of ESA activities ;
- Development of harmonized training programs ;
- Development of research activities on training-related themes;
- Organization of joint recruitment competitions for Economic Statistical Engineers (ISE) and Statistical Engineers (ITS);
- Teacher and student exchanges ;
- Pooling of resources (documentation, management tools, etc.) ;
- Production of teaching materials (course materials, case studies, educational games, etc.);
- Organization of seminars or workshops on technical or institutional issues related to statistical training;
- Organization of refresher courses for ESA teachers;
