African Center of Excellence for Statistical Training

Project presentation

ENSEA Abidjan has extensive experience in conducting studies and research. The institution is recognized as a leader in conducting studies in its areas of expertise, as demonstrated by the present research project on “Challenges of the labor market in West Africa: what impacts of violence and harassment?”

France and the International Labour Organization (ILO) have launched a technical cooperation project (2020-24) to end violence and harassment in the world of work for all and promote equal pay and careers for men and women in West Africa. This project is part of the promotion of the Violence and Harassment in the World of Work Convention, 2019 (No. 190), and its accompanying Recommendation (No. 206), as well as the objectives of the Equal Pay International Coalition (EPIC).

A Call for Research Projects was launched in October 2021, and three proposals were retained by a Selection Committee, including the research project submitted by ENSEA “Labor market challenges in West Africa: what impacts of violence and harassment?”.
